wrestling in Benton City

Today Little E had his wrestling tournament in Benton City. This was a nice change for us because this is where we live and there was no travel. It was nice to leave the house at 7am instead of 5am.

Little E won his first medal! He won third place because the other kid forfeited. Either way he won a medal!

Wrestling tourney in Granger

This last weekend we went to another wrestling tournament in Granger. Little E did so much better this time around. He didn't win either match, but he came so close in the second one. I am so proud of him!

Wrestling tourney in Royal City

Yesterday we had our first wrestling tournament of the season in Royal City. There were so many people there it was crazy! The place was packed. About half an hour before the tournament started our team started warming up.

We are quite the impressive group.

Little E did so well. He didn't win either of his matches, but he tried so hard and didn't get pinned on his last match. He lost by points.

Poor J was so upset about not being able to wrestle. She did a lot of laying down and reading.

I am so excited for the new season and am hoping for big things to come.

Her first broken bone

Last week J broke her arm. She was riding her scooter before wrestling practice and fell off of it. I didn't think it was broken because she could move everything and there was no bruising or swelling. The next day when she was putting her clothes away she would cry out in pain every time she had to lift something. So I took her to the hospital. They took x-rays and it turns out it is broken.

When we were in the doctor's office to get the cast on, the doctor was feeling where the bone is broken. She didn't say one word. He even had me feel where the bone is sticking up and she said nothing. "She is one tough little girl" According to the doctor!
