Another weekend, more wrestling....

This last weekend we were at Little E's wrestling tournament. Again. This time it was in a tiny town way up in the mountains called Cowiche.

This town was so far up that while it was raining it instantly turned to snow! Ben said that we must have climbed 1000 feet in less than 5 minutes. It was a little scary!

We had to be at the high school between 7 and 9 for weigh ins. We arrived at 8. The tournament didn't start until 10. Luckily this tournament actually started on time.

The way these tournaments work is that they start with the lowest age group (5 & 6) and after they have all wrestled then they move on to the next age group. They continue this until everyone has wrestled in 1 match. The ages go all the way up to 13 I think. Then they start all over again with the youngest kids and have them wrestle for a second time. This process is very long and considering the kids only wrestle for 3 minutes at a time it can be hours in between wrestling matches!

I am so proud of my kids though. They were great at keeping themselves entertained. I am so proud to call them my children!

Little E won his first match with a technical because the kid he was supposed to wrestle went home sick.
He lost his second match by a pin.
He had a bye on his consolation round.
In the final round he did lose, but he still took home 2nd place!!!

We are sooo proud of him!!! He is pretty proud of himself!

We finally left at 3:40pm.

It was a long ride home.

Corn Beef and Cabbage? No thank you, but I will take some Korn!

Last night I had the amazing opportunity to go to the Music as a Weapon 5 tour. This tour consists of Stillwell, In this Moment, Sevendust, Disturbed and Korn. I am a huge Korn fan. I have seen them in concert a couple of times, but not is about 9 years. My friends daughter won tickets from our local radio station and asked if I would like the other ticket in exchange for the ride there. I, of course, said yes. I could not pass up the chance to see them again. My phone died soon after entering the concert so I was only able to take 2 pictures and neither of them were of Korn, but that's ok, I stole the pictures off of someone else Facebook from the concert.

I had a really good time. the only thing that would have made this concert better would have been if Ben could have been there too.

My friends

I have mentioned my friends on here before, but it warrants another post. I LOVE my friends. They are the most loyal, trustworthy, uplifting group of women I have ever met. Some of them I have been friends with since the fifth grade! We are the kind of friends that can tell each other everything and are not afraid to tell each other anything. Good or bad. I love them and their spouses more than words can say. Thank you all for being my friends!!!

Sadie Hawkins

A couple of weeks ago Big E went to the Sadie Hawkins dance with his girlfriend.

Then they went ice skating. My whole family loves her. She is a great kid. Everything you want your son to date. Nice, friendly, smart, good, funny and she doesn't take his crap. She is very good for him and we love her for that!

Little Wrestling

Little E has been wrestling this year for the first time! He wanted to be just like his big brother.

This last weekend he had his first tournament in Cle Elum. In the first round he was pinned pretty quickly.

For being the first time he has ever wrestled he did amazingly well.

A little while later he had his second round and he was great!!! He did lose the match, but he lost by points not from being pinned! He was amazing! I am so proud of him!!!!!

After the tournament we bout all of the boys shirts.
