Big E has been wrestling this year for the first time. He is loving it! Big E is in the blue.

Flood!!!

Last week we had a flood. The water was well above flood stage. Our house is up on a hill and we were in no danger from the flood. The kids were pretty worried about it though. It took a lot of convincing that our house was not going to be flooded.

Fudge!

The other day I was introduced to the easiest fudge recipe I had ever seen by this wonderful blogger. It has 2 ingredients! 2! I was so excited to try it.

she is going to single handily make me even bigger than I already am! Now, don't get me wrong, she is not doing it on purpose. She is just a great person sharing with the world the wonderfully simple way to make delicious fudge.

Needless to say, I made the fudge yesterday afternoon. This is what is left.



It is 2:41am and I am contemplating going to the store for more ingredients to make more. I have a sickness.

Getting Organized

We recently got a Hobby Lobby. I love this store! I have been reading on other blogs for years about the wonderful items and sales that other bloggers would find there and I was so bummed out we didn't have one. Then right before Christmas one opened in our city. I love it! Ben even loves it!

On my last trip there I purchased something I have been dying for and our family truly needed.



Now I have seen several tutorials for this exact project, but I am becoming a realist and recognizing that I will never get this project done and we really needed it.

As you can see it gets filled pretty quickly. It has looked like this since January 5th. Scary how busy we always are.

I am trying to keep it all organized so we don't keep overbooking ourselves and so we don't forget all of the things we have coming up.

My love is now on Facebook. It took him long enough, but he finally agreed to get one. I am hoping he will connect with some old friends the way I have. I love you babe!

A girl and her doll

As you know J received her "American Girl" doll for Christmas. As you also know she is a Girl Scout. I had ordered an adorable Brownie vest just like hers for the doll, but it did not arrive in time. It arrived today! She is so excited! It even has her troop number on the vest.
