J is 8

My baby girl turned 8 this year. I am not at all happy. She is my baby and my only girl. On Sunday we had a family/friends party for her at a local park with a water feature and a big play structure nearby. She had a great time!

Wearing her new sundress and matching sunglasses from Uncle Pat and Aunt Angela.

Belated 4th of July

Sorry for the delay in this post. I lost my camera battery charger and we just found it today!

We spent our 4th in our little town. It was AMAZING! We will never go anywhere else again for the 4th of July! Our little town is truly a community.

In the morning there was the first ever 4th of July kiddie parade. it was short, sweet, and adorable. It was very cute.

Fireworks are legal in our town and the city was encouraging everyone to bring their fireworks into town and light them off in one of our parks where they were having the big show and there would be firemen present so if anything got out of hand they were right there. The main show from the city and the fireworks afterward were truly incredible! I have never seen anything like it.

Mini Vaca & a 18th birthday

Last weekend we went on a mini vaca to one of our favorite spots. Gig Harbor and Karen's house!
view from the front porch

This visit was double duty. We were visiting Karen and we were celebrating her daughter's 18th birthday!

The big event on the schedule for her birthday was going to Wild Waves.

We brought one of our favorite people in the world. J.H.

Big E didn't want to come. He stayed with friends for the weekend instead. I was a little sad. I really missed him, but I understand. He is getting to the age where he doesn't always want to hang out with the family.

One of my other really good friends came up for the birthday as well. Brandy is the person who introduced me to Karen. We have all been friends for a really long time.

You might not be able to tell from the pictures, but it was 55 degrees and rained the whole time we were there! The water was warm and there were no lines. There is an upside to going on a cold and rainy day.birthday girl's beautiful sister

After the water park we all headed back to Karen's for the big birthday party. The birthday girl made her own cake! It looked incredible!

It was even rainbow inside!

We had an amazing time! I would like to thank Karen again for giving us another great vacation!
